Ser Educacional obtained Recognition of UNINASSAU‘s DL Course and Protocols for the Acccreditation of 400 Centers
New Centers are Part of the Company‘s Expansion Strategy
in the Post-Secondary Distance Learning Education Segment
Recife, December 7, 2015 - Ser Educacional S.A. (BM&FBOVESPA SEER3, Bloomberg SEER3:BZ and Reuters SEER3.SA), one the largest private education groups in Brazil and the leader in the Northeast and North of Brazil, informs that the Ministry of Education (MEC) published in the Federal Official Gazette the Recognition ordinance of the post-secondary distance learning course in Quality Management Technology of the Centro Universitário Mauricio de Nassau - UNINASSAU.
With the recognition of the course, Grupo Ser Educacional filed a request with MEC for the accreditation of 400 new post-secondary distance learning education centers, which are mainly located in the northeastern regions of Brazil. These requests are part of the group‘s strategy of organic growth in this segment.
According Jânyo Diniz, CEO of Grupo Ser Educacional, "distance learning education is an important strategic pillar for our development plans. With more DL centers, we will increase our range and capillarity to penetrate more distant regions of our current units, expanding our value proposition, which includes one of the most recognized brands in the job market in the northeast region, UNINASSAU. Additionally, DL student base growth will be a significant vector in the dilution of fixed costs and in the increase in operational efficiency of the group".
The recognition of UNINASSAU‘s course took place just days after the accreditation of 6 DL centers at the Universidade de Guarulhos (UNG), also part of Grupo Ser Educacional, which expanded its DL centers to a total of 15 in 2015, including UNINASSAU‘s 9 centers.
